– What we do know so far
The details are still marinating, but here’s a rough sketch of the day (and weekend) – subject to change, finetuning, and spontaneous fun and awkward moments. The day after the wedding, you are invited to join for a lovely brunch in Næstved, if you like (see details below).
Welcome dinner, May 29
For those that have arrived early and are staying at the wedding location, we’ll have dinner together (fællesspisning) in the “Summer House”, which is situated on the castle premise.
Wedding day, May 30
13:00ish – The day kicks off with some kind of ceremony. Hopefully outside, if the weather allows.
Spoiler alert: we’ll probably say “I do”.
13:45ish – Cutting the cake. We’re not sure what kind yet, but it will likely involve cream, irrationel levels of sugar, and some hygge.
15:00–18:00ish – Siesta/break/tour time!
Whether you nap in a hammock, stroll the Gavnø castle grounds pretending you’re in a period drama, take a tour in the castle (more info here), or just vibe in the garden (fingers crossed for nice weather) – this is your moment to explore, exhale, contemplate life or gossip.
18:00 – 22:00ish – Dinner & speeches.
A lengthy meal broken up by toasts, roasts, and maybe a song or two. Don’t worry, there will be (Nordic and seasonal) food between the talking. We promise.
22:00–02:00ish – Party mode: activated.
Music, dancing, drinks, and some questionable but awesome moves people only attempt after midnight (did anyone say: “snake”?). Midnight snacks will be offered for strength and survival.
through the night – Bus to Næstved & the Summer House
Because no legendary party ends without a mass exodus in a sleepy shuttle ride.

Farewell Brunch, May 31
10:00-14:00 – Brunch at Hotel Vinhuset
As per Danish tradition, we invite those of you who are up for it, to meet up for a lovely brunch the morning after – to caffeinate, fill our bellies, open gifts, and debrief the wedding day.
Costs: 200 DKK / €27,00 per person. There is limited space available. Let us know if you want to join via the RSVP form.
